My Story

My name is Jolene Knutzen, and I'm a certified doula and mother from Manley, Nebraska. I created Elderberry Nectar because I believe every family deserves access to pure, handcrafted wellness.

From My Kitchen to Your Family

It started the way so many good things do—in my small Nebraska kitchen, with a determination to do better for my family. After years of searching for natural immune support products I could truly trust, I decided to make my own.

When I became a doula, I saw families searching for natural ways to support their health. New parents, expectant mothers, families navigating cold and flu season—they all wanted something pure, something they could feel good about giving to the people they love most.

Drawing on generations of herbal wisdom and my training as a certified doula, I began crafting small-batch elderberry syrup using organic elderberries, raw local honey, and whole spices. Word spread quickly—first among my doula clients, then through the community, and eventually across the state.

Today, I'm proud that Elderberry Nectar of Nebraska serves hundreds of families, but the heart of my process remains the same: I still handcraft every batch with the same care, intention, and love that started it all.

I believe that wellness should be simple, accessible, and rooted in nature. Every product I create is a reflection of that belief—pure ingredients, honest processes, and a deep respect for the families who trust me.
